Éric Maheu, originally from the Beauce region, has made a solo career of playing bass in a number of Quebec bands. A founding member of the group Kaïn and a former member of GLAD, Noir silence, he is now also a member of La Chicane. He has written several songs for artists including Boom Desjardins, Roch Voisine and Bruno Landry (RBO).

He then embarked on a high-profile solo tour, performing in front of thousands of spectators and sharing the bill with Céline Dion.
