Sometimes musician, sometimes poet, and often both at the same time, Julie Aubé is a multidisciplinary artist from Memramcook, New Brunswick. Well-established on the Canadian music scene, she is best known for her involvement with the group Les Hay Babies.

In 2017, she embarked on her solo trajectory as a singer-songwriter, revealing her bewitching vintage folk-rock-country drawl with the full-length Joie de vivre, winner of a Music NB Awards in the "Solo Recording of the Year" category. She did it again in 2022 with Contentement, a work written in the spirit of contentment, in the impulse to say "thank you" for what we live, for what we have. The album wins "Recording of the Year" at the Music NB Awards, and is nominated for ADISQ and East Coast Music Awards.

With her dashing voice and a pen imbued with a love of song based on her Chiac oral tradition, Julie Aubé sings from the belly, and sings powerfully, to describe her gratitude, her relationship with her native region and, of course, love.
